Refund for School group flights

Very limited communication regarding flights that needed to be cancelled due to lockdown. I find it ridiculous that we can not get a refund. If it was for an individual or two, I can understand the coupon thing, however, its for a large group of 25 and the tournament we were going to is not happening next year, thus R40000 down the drain? Surely the school should get their money back?
