Pathetic unprofessional service
I booked a flight on 12th January 2025 to return home from Durban to Johannesburg. Due to a family member being in hospital i changed my flight which I had paid R500 extra for. I booked 2 flights on the 14th and on arrival at the boarding gate I was not allowed onboard as I was told I looked unwell to board and needed to change my flight at the ticket sales counter. I immediately went there and an Indian lady whom I spoke to said she could not assist. I left and went back requesting to see the manager. He was an Indian manager who refused to assist me again and said I needed to call in for a refund. I booked 2 flights again for the 16th Jan and returned home. After calling Flysafair on numerous occasions I was told I had an hour to change my flights and the lady insisted I never went to the ticket sales counter as if she was there. I lost R500 to change my flight and paid again R2222 for another 2 flights as the previous tickets were forfeited. We lost the family member and I couldn't attend the funeral as Flysafair did me in with over R3000 including Uber costs running up and down. Furthermore my boss refused me leave to attend the funeral due to me not being at work because of Flysafair's *********** lady staff who refused to assist me. I use Flysafair at least 4-5 times per year but clearly though their flights are reasonable the customer service is pathetic. I am disgusted at the inconvenience and money lost being a airline I've supported for years. I will never recommend Flysafair to anyone ever again neither will I use them.
