Pathetic HR work ethics

I was called for an interview in November 2019 and I was successful. I was sent a contract and signed it and my duties were meant to commence on the 1st of January 2020. Long story short ,I remained unemployed for the whole year while they gave me excuses as to why I cant start my new job. I had resigned from my small temp job .Last year oct they advertised the same job post without communicating with me if I still have a job or not. I re app**** and my application was unsuccessful. Now I cant find work and my old job has been replaced with another candidate. So nice of them
