Passenger Exploitation
Flight FA 441 departing from East London to Durban on Friday 8 March @ 12h00. Online check-in opened but you are required to pay R 30 for an ordinary seat which is normally free (not for extra space, or front seat). To book an ordinary seat next to an empty middle seat you have to pay R30+R750 = R780 for the empty seat next to you which will be occupied anyway by another passenger. All this over and above paying for the flight ticket. Having done all that and paying extra for the seat you still cannot download your boarding pass. Daylight *******! FlySafair stop this! Not so long ago, passengers were forced into compulsory luggage insurance that came preselected when making a booking and gave no option for the passenger to opt-out. This is probably perpetuated by the monopoly the airline has over this route (EL-DBN) Competition is needed here. But this passenger exploitation must stop.
