Operation:Shut FlySAFair down

On the 15th of December 2016 I was scheduled to fly out from Cpt to Jhb on flight FA102 at 17h45. I received an email at 15h00 that this flight would be delayed to leave at 2015. I then checked in at around 15h30 and returned to board at the stated gate A11 at 19h50.

At 2000, while on flight FA727, waiting to depart I notice another message that came in at 19h50 notifying me of a further delay of FA102 to depart at 21h00. I notified the hostess who told me to wait but never returned to me.

I then arrived in Jhb assuming all necessary preparations for my flight were in order only to find my bag was not on FA727 nor FA102. I notified the luggage assistance on duty Themba who assist me and another two aggrieved clients the best that he could given the circumstances. He called Zubeya who after many requests for relief from the fact that 12h00 today (16th December 2016) i was scheduled to leave for Botswana, told me to "find myself a solution" for the inconvenience caused.

This morning I contacted luggage claims were Patricia and Gladys (although having tried) failed to avail my bag by the intended flight arrival of 1230pm. I aslo spoke to Franchesca who advised that her Team Leader Reshen would not be in any position to assist with anything other than the return of my luggage into my possession claiming it would land in Jhb by 12h30 and that it could be couriered to me in Botswana to which i responded i could not have done as this lack of good customer service and relief was too appalling and risky on my end should based on the current service provided. I asked Alisa to ask a superior other than Reshen to return my call with a solution and I am still waiting for the call back since this morning. I asked Alisa to ask a superior to communicate with me with a solution to my issues and have still not received any call.

As we speak i am not in possession of my luggage and i demand relief for this injust treatment of myself. I demand full refund for my flight or equivalent compensation in the form of a way back home to Botswana by tomorrow 9am. I also want to cancel my January 2017 bookings and full refund for these as I do not believe the firm is in any position to provide a worthwhile service, compensation or relief in circumstances like these.

I am strongly of the opinion that the firm should reconsider its position on providing relief for aggrieved clients and should not be in operation otherwise. The mere fact that this is a cheap airline company competing with the likes of Mango and Kulula does not give the airline any right to ill-treat and grossly inconvenience its clients without any avail to the appropriate personnel equipped to provide adequate relief.

I am giving the airline until 19h00 tonight to provide me with a solution. As it stands i am not supposed to be in SA at this point and as such do not have a place to stay tonight nor a means to Botswana once i have received my luggage.

To put all into perspective;
1. My flight was delayed twice
2. The second delay was made notice to me 5 minutes into boarding time
3. I was supposed to have left for Botswana at midday today and as such have lost the booking and am without accommodation
4. I have been ill-treated and made empty promises by your firms employees
5. I am still without my luggage and at this point do not trust that leaving it to be delivered to me in Botswana would be doing myself any justice.

My next solution from here if i do not receive solutions to my issues other than luggage issues will be to forward this letter to all relevant authorities as well as to run this email (response or not) along with recordings of conversations with u professional employees to all social media platforms that i am exposed to here in South Africa, Botswana, and else where where I have relations and call for a boycott of the airline at all costs sighting the preference of the other two mentioned low cost airlines as preferred options. I will also ask for all my following to repost and make all aware of the unjust manner that the airline has handled this issue.
