On Saturday 18 October 2025, I flew with FlySafair from Or Thambo to Cape Town

On Saturday 18 October 2025, I flew with FlySafair from Or Thambo to Cape Town. Upon collecting, my whole suitcase was torn open above and underneath the zip which indicatedes that it must have fallen from a height. The suitcase had no previous damage and was in very good condition. It had been used in previous flights with no issues. I phoned and then emailed them on the Monday 20 October to report it. After 3 weeks upon enquiry they advised that the third party they use for damaged luggage advised that an amount of R400 will be paid to me and that is their final offer. I have disputed the amount being way too low to even assist in buying a new suitcase or even repair. They answered again that it is their final offer. I left a good quality suitcase in perfectly working condition in their care and lost out completely. I will never fly with them again.
