Non Transparency

My query is very simply, i saw an advert on facebook of the flight centre and because i needed to book a flight i then decided to use them, i went to purchase a ticket at checkers and my ticket costs R1239 in total. I now have a bed ridden aunt and wish to cancel as i just bought the ticket on the 29/11/2017. So i call to cancel and to my shock im told i will not be getting a refund and that 100% cancelation fee applies i than advise the agent how i bought the ticket and that i was not informed of this cancelation procedure over the counter. What makes me more irate is that there is that there is a cancellation upgrade product of which i was not informed over the count and because if i new i would have taken the product because i would have been cautious of my bed ridden aunt. I am extremely dissappointed and would never recommend this airline. i never complain on socila media but would this been not fair practice to be told of the cancellation upgrade product while purchasing my ticket???....Im extremely disappointed and lost for words .....i have no cash to even book a next flight to get home when my aunt gets better NOTHING Absolutley Nothing ........Why guys ????
