No Refunds
Publicly, Safair has been taking credit for supporting customers whose plans were affected by the disaster in KZN which is still a disaster zone and was still a disaster zone over the weekend I was set fly (16 April) and yet I was not given a refund as promised in their Facebook post or press release.
Their customer service said that refunds were only given from April 12th -April 15th (1 day before we were set to fly). However, this was not explicitly detailed in their post or I would have simply moved the flights instead of canceling them.
It, also, isn't very supportive to have such a narrow window in which customers will be assisted with refunds given that the area is still declared a disaster zone.
It seems that their support doesn't extend to all customers whose plans were impacted by the flooding in KZN - as FlySafair claims - and seems as if they intentionally misled the public in order to boost their brand.
