No cash refund for ticket cancellation under valid reason

I am in a position where I have no option but to cancel my flight as my partner of two years and I have broken up. This was very sudden (last night) and I was supposed to visit him at the end of this month. Flight ***, Flights FA268 on the 25th April returning on flight FA269 on the 1st May. He is the only person I ever fly to visit as my family and friends are all in Johannesburg. You will notice if you look back that I always use Flysafair and have left great reviews. I have been told that I can cancel to a voucher which will be valid for 12 months but that will be of no use to me as I will never travel by air anywhere. I understand Flysafair policy of not refunding cash unless someone has died or is in hospital but I feel that, in this instance, they could make an exception. My former partner may just as well be dead (harsh but true). The agent I spoke to refused to transfer me to anyone senior as she said it would make no difference. You will see that I have already paid to change my booking as I was able to spend an extra two days in Durban at the end of the month. This has obviously all fallen away and I would really appreciate if an exception could be made in this case and I could receive a cash refund. Please could you consider this. Many thanks
