Items ****** on a round trip from DBN to JHB

I am writing to on behalf of a friend.

Her experience goes as following

On Thursday, I travelled from Durban to Johannesburg on flight FA287 with one checked-in bag. Upon arrival at OR Tambo, I noticed my luggage was slightly open. Only once I reached my hotel did I realise that jewellery items—a Michael Kors wris****ch and a Daniel Wellington bracelet—were missing from my bag.

Today, on my return flight from Johannesburg to Durban on FA416, I reported this incident at the airport but received no meaningful assistance.

To my shock, when I arrived home and opened my luggage, I found it had again been tampered with. My belongings were in disarray, clearly not as I had packed them. This time, my Gucci earrings had been taken. Only one earring was found loose among my clothes, with its packaging missing with the other one which clearly indicates deliberate interference.

This is now two separate incidents of theft from my checked luggage within days — both while in FlySafair’s custody. This is appalling, unacceptable, and raises serious concerns about passenger safety and the integrity of your baggage handling processes.
