If you think service is bad at Home Affairs wait till you meet the staff at FLYSAFAIR

I travel extensively and have never ever experienced such awful service from the ground staff at the Port Elizabeth airport. I was 3 minutes late for my flight, along with another 4 passengers who were not permitted to check in. I completely understand late arrivals falls within the responsibility of the passenger. I was travelling on my own with my daughter (1 year old) and asked the staff to please assist me to get another flight. The answer was an abrubt "NO". I then tried with the ticket office to assist me in some way. I really was not worried about cost, I just needed to get home. I think the moment that the 2 staff members at the ticket office just got up and left the office while I was still standing at the ticket office window brought be to tears. Or the complete frustration when the other late passengers were pleading with the staff to assist me.

I was eventually helped by a lovely lady from Mango who assisted me with my 1 year old while I run from airline to airline trying to get on an alternate flight. I found a flight, paid for it, checked in my luggage and went through security only to walk past my original Flysafair getting ready to board.

I then asked one of the Flysafair ground staff to please give me the email address of their manager and the said 'No'. It's 2 days later and I am still completely appalled at how horrific their service was.
