Ground staff attitude - King Shaka
I am absolutely disgusted with Flysafair ground staff at King Shaka airport. As a frequent flyer, this is by far the worst airline I have ever had the misfortune to fly with. I am always on a priority booking and the queues at the boarding rail are so chaotic and un-organized that even the rude ground staff that are all dressed up with a nasty attitude, have no idea what they are doing. Shouting to the passengers to get in a line, what an attitude - do you not announce your flights starting to board in a professional manner? Having lined up near the front as a priority customer, I was shouted at to get in the queue, I tried to explain that there were 3 queues, which one? I was told to get in the longest line towards the shops. Then the process starts where 3 ladies, one with a stupid sticker (put under the seat) really? - a laptop? what a waste of money and effort, not to mention waste to the environment!, one with a phone, taking a photo of my ID - NOT ACCEPTABLE! there is a poppi act, you have my info on my booking and boarding pass!! and then another lady that hands out a little plastic card. Eventually as the three wanderers get to me, I am s***led at and told to go to priority and looked at like I am a delinquent. I was publicly humiliate due to their incompetence. When I got to the next ground staff person, who was leaning casually against the rail, all but bored and not really interested - she pulled her face in distaste and stared at me, I was handing her my plastic card, but she was not going to take it until I said hello to her - which I eventually did and was promptly told by her that that was better, and she took my card! I was told to walk down the ramp as the first priority line was near the top. I felt so sorry for the passengers that had lined up before me as I was given first choice to walk into the boarding bridge and the next nightmare - seats 1-17 on the left. As I have a shoulder injury, I asked the gentleman that was to monitor us into the lines according to our seats if he would take my small suitcase as I would not be able to lift it into the overhead. He said no! Thank heavens for the lady next to me that helped me get it down when we landed. An observation: why on earth does your cart with the food and drinks take the entire flight from KZN to JHB to get to row G? and the pilot has announced we are getting ready for landing, but the drinks are served? If I was in row I,J or K, my chances of getting anything on that flight would be fruitless. How can all the other airlines get it through the isle, served, picked up and packed away before landing. FLYSAFAIR, I am not impressed, cheaper does not mean that you drop your standards and treat people as your minions with your shabby service.
