Great flying but no responsibility taken

I only fly with Safair locally but this will certainly change. A very expensive suitcase damaged in the hold. Reported to the agent on arrival in Durban. Details taken. Zero feedback despite escalating to their customer line. All I wanted was a repair. Is that too much to ask- clearly it was.
