FlySafair staff arrogance and lack of service
I booked a flight from Johannesburg to Cape Town 6 November 2020, we checked in online the night before and only had to drop our luggage. We got to the bag drop at 13H48 and got told: ''sorry the gate just closed for luggage you have to book a new flight'' When I asked what time it closed I was told 13H45 which is exactly 3 minutes before!
Traveling with two children and a 7 month old infant I asked if I could speak to the manager and got sent to Sewela Thoka (manager/ Flight controller) who busy chatting on her mobile phone at the time. After I explained what happened and asked if she could please help us in return she rep**** with a bad an arrogant attitude saying we must fly without our luggage or go book a new flight I tried explaining that I'm flying with a 7 month old infant and two young children but she refused to help us in any way and said I must go to the ticket office and book a new flight. This is the manager or flight controller, I got the feeling that she was power tripping and totally unwilling to assist any further with zero compassion not the type of service you would expect from a manager.
I don't recommend FlySafair at all, worst experience from an airline I ever had. You should think that during lockdown and this though economic client service would be a top priority I guess not. I will not fly with them or recommend them to anyone in future.
