FlySafair: Months of Chasing Since November 2025 for Damaged Luggage and a R350 Offer

I am writing this review after months of trying to resolve an issue with FlySafair regarding luggage that was damaged while in your care.

This matter has been ongoing since November 2025, and during this time I have had to repeatedly follow up just to receive basic feedback. Communication from FlySafair has been extremely slow, and in most cases I only receive a response when I initiate contact and chase for an update.

Eventually I received a response from Ashveer Ramchander, offering compensation of only R350 for the damaged bag. This offer is completely unreasonable. I even suggested that FlySafair attempt to purchase a decent quality luggage bag for that amount just to understand how unrealistic that figure is.

As a paying passenger, I expected FlySafair to take responsibility for luggage that was damaged while in your care. Instead, the burden has been placed on me to repeatedly chase for updates and feedback for months.

What is even more disappointing is the lack of meaningful engagement. Emails often go unanswered for long periods, and the resolution offered does not come close to addressing the damage caused.

After using your airline, this is unfortunately the experience customers are left with — continuous follow-ups, delays, and compensation offers that are not reasonable.

I am requesting that FlySafair review this matter properly and provide fair compensation or replacement for the damaged luggage, rather than the unrealistic R350 that was offered.

What is particularly concerning is that after reading several other customer complaints online, it appears that experiences like this may not be isolated incidents. There are multiple reviews from passengers describing very similar issues — damaged luggage, extremely low compensation offers, and long delays in receiving meaningful responses. This raises the question of whether this has become a pattern in how FlySafair handles customer claims, rather than an exception.

Is this truly how FlySafair handles luggage damage claims?

I would appreciate a proper response from FlySafair management and a fair resolution to this matter.
