Flysafair leaves passengers grounded
I booked a flight on Flysafair to fly to Cape Town on 15 Feb. The flight was scheduled for 06h45. I arrived at the airport at 06h05 and went to the checkin desks. They told me to go to the Flysafair desk as I did not have a boarding pass already. There were several other angry passengers standing there. Their check-in desk was already closed and if one did not have a boarding pass already, it was now TOO BAD. The person at the counter refused to assist any of us. We could go on standby for the next flight, which was at 17h00 that afternoon, or we could go to hell. I was forced to buy another expensive ticket on another airline in order to not miss my appointment in Cape Town. Flysafair's processes and systems are absurd and ridiculous. The young lady told me I should be there 2h before the flight - for a domestic flight??? She was not able to print out boarding passes even for those that had them on their phones. She was not able to phone any manager before 8 even though about 10 passengers were demanding to escalate the issue. Her attitude was totally deplorable. Another colleague arrived after a while but made no difference. I have written to them online and complained but they have not responded yet. Lesson learnt. I will NEVER EVER fly with Flysafair again, and I will make sure all my friends understand the risk of booking on this third rate airline.
