FlySafair is Xenophobic

On the 25th of October, my company booked a flight to Cape Town for the 18th of November. I am supposed to attend a manegerial workshop.

I use an Asylum Seeker's permit. As you all know, permits which expired during lockdown could not be extended at the time because the Department of Home Affairs did not allow walk-ins. So the Minister of Home Affairs Dr. A Motsoaledi announced that all permits which expired during lockdown are considered valid until the 31st of December 2021. He also announced that we could apply for a visa extension online and wait for the Home Affairs to email us new permits.

This means that I am fully legal in South Africa. However, FlySafair thinks otherwise. They say that they will not allow me on the plane even if the Minister has officially declared that I am legal. They say that without the new permit which is sent on email, I am considered ******* and will not be allowed to fly to Cape Town.

They refuse to take into consideration that the online application is a process and is not instant. They have set laws that are above what the Minister if Home Affairs is saying and on top of that, they do not even care about giving a refund.

These people are ****** and my company lawyers are building a case to sue them.

How can they say that I am ******* while I have shown them proof of my application and also the statement from the minister who has validated my permit? ******!
