FLYSAFAIR DOES NOT SANITISE BETWEEN FLIGHTS AND ARE OK TO ***** YOUR PROPERTY

I flew into Durban from Cape Town yesterday and left my new book in the seat sleeve in front of me.

I contacted lost and found yesterday and spoke with Hlengiwe who tried to call their Cape Town lost and found while I was on hold for 10mins. When she got back on the line she told me that no one is answering in Cape Town and I was very confused as I landed in Durban and any lost and found would have been handed in there. I politely corrected her to which she said "oh I will call there now". I waited another 10mins for her only to tell me the exact same thing. She said she will escalate the matter by email which I asked to be cc'd in and she said oh sorry she already sent the email. I said fine but please can she let me know as I would need to put in a claim as I have travel insurance (it is a limited edition book which is a part of a box set).

One day later and there is no feedback. I called again today only for Hlengiwe to answer the call again. I asked her what is the update and she put me on hold to call the airport lost and found. She had not done anything further to locate my property. At this point I am beyond disbelief at the casual-no effort- lack of interest attitude that I am dealing with. She then tells me that the book is not in Cape Town. Again I ask her why would it be in Cape Town when I landed in Durban? To which she replies that it might have gone back to Cape Town on another flight. I was shocked at this as this would mean they had not cleaned the plane in-between flights (the book is a big hardcover which barely fitted in the back sleeve).

She went on to put the blame on me for forgetting my book and so far as saying that another passenger had taken it. My row was the last row that exited the flight with no other passengers left on board.

I have two major problems with this situation: 1. FLYSAFAIR DOES NOT PROPERLY SANITISE AND CLEAN THEIR AIRCRAFTS BETWEEN FLIGHTS 2. FLYSAFAIR HIRES ************* EMOLOYEES WHO ARE OK WITH TAKING OTHER PEOPLES' BELONGINGS.

I do not think that it is OK for you to help yourself to what is not yours just because someone forgot their property especially on board a SAFAIR plane. More so I do not think that a SAFAIR employee should make light of another employee *****ing your property because "you forgot it".

Absolutely disgusted and will be taking the health issue concerns to social media. Who wants to fly on an aircraft that does not do proper cleaning between flights???
