FlySAfair, disgusting assistance at OR Tambo International Airport

We had a terrible experience with this airline. DO NOT let their cheap rates fool you!!!

My father had to return from OR Tambo back to PZN on Saturday. We got to the airport ALMOST to late because of an accident.

We stood there in a VERY LONG queue to Check in.... even if we were 40 minutes still on time, the line was not moving because there was only 1 assistant working on a till of the almost 10 tills / check in points that was un-occupied. When we saw that we are not moving forward, we decided to approach the lady walking around. This was 09.01.2021 before 14h00. We were the told: ''Sorry, you are too late''.... the plane was not barding within the next 40mins still. The lady had a bad tone of voice, arguing that it's OUR fault. She took me to the Supervisor who was just sitting there, assisting no one, but chatting with 3 other collegues. The Supervisor just turned a blind eye, like she was not interested in listening.... this was not JUST my father that was ''BEING LATE'' but 3 other passengers aswell and they also said it's because of this long queue and we have no idea where to go or what else to do.

The ticket was non refundable. There was space on the next flight.... the next day, but a penalty fee of R490.00 was payable??? WHAT???? The first ticket that we did not board on was R522!!!!! What a ripp off and disgusting service and treatment from the staff at OR Tambo.

We immediately turned to Mango... their flights was full, but the lady saw the despartion in our eyes and she got us a ticket to a flight boarding in the next 30mins!!!!! I have the proof... and we gladly paid R550 for the ticket rather a penalty fee to Flysafair that does not go to the extra lenghts for clients.

I will not recommend FlySafair to anyone. Mango Airlines has the same rated with BETTER service!!!
