Flysafair- As ******* as they come!

This is truly one of the most ******* companies I have come across. We booked an emergency plane ticket from Port Elizabeth to Cape Town this morning for my mother who needed to fly to Cape Town as our grandmother was being rushed to hospital with pains on her chest. After successfully booking and paying for the ticket, email confirmation says that we need to make sure we check in at the airport atleast an hour before the flight. Flight number- FA131 (Booking number JYLUZM) was meant to depart at 13:15 and my mom was at the airport at 12:00. Your representatives, people that are supposed to represent your company and be the face of your brand/company, namely Sam Mdunyelwa and Adele Becker refused to let my mom onto the flight because as they said, she needed to be at the airport 2 hours before departure. After refusing them onto the flight, they told us we can pay R400 penalty fee, a R300 standby fee & R600 extra on the ticket which amounts to a whopping total of R1300.00. ALL of which is non-refundable!!!! The ticket I bought this morning was R1300 but we couldn't not buy the ticket, my grandmother wants her daughter by her side.

My grandmother, her mother, an 83 year old lady is currently having tests done to see what it is that is the cause of the irregular heartbeat, she had blood drawn and needs to have xrays done. These inadequate people who work for you rather argued with my mom until the flight left and then bul**** her into paying an additional R300.00 to "secure a standby ticket" which doesn't guarantee her a flight to Cape Town later this evening.. We were told if we don't pay the R300 then we lose everything we had paid this morning. I called in to speak to Palesa Molorane (Customer service consultant) who called the team at the airport and they conveyed that there was an argument and Adele concluded that my mother was late, she had to be at the airport 2 hours before the flight. My mother has been sitting at the airport since she "missed" the flight earlier this afternoon, if the flight to Cape Town is 18:00 this evening, check in should then have opened at 16:00? We got a call now to say that check in still hasn't opened. How does any of this make sense? I don't think they understand the sensitivity or severity of the matter at hand. Now my mother is told she can only check in at 17:30!!!!!
