Flight attendant with major issues
I was traveling with, and looking after a Diplopat minister and his wife on their first non-official trip to KZN (Booking A7BFRN). Take note that I notified FlySafair in advance of the minister's presence on the flight, due to the fact that I have been working for them for the last 2 years. Yet the FlySafair staff were TOTALLY unaware of his presence. (His country invests BILLIONS in SA's economy) When we boarded, 15:40, 29 Dec 2022, from Durban to Jhb, seats 17 D,E & F, there were still some empty plastic drink containers and other rubish from the previous flight, in the seat pockets in front of us that were not removed. During the pre-flight a very kind flight attendant asked the minister's wife to place her small handbag, that she held in her hand, in the overhead compartment. She explained to the flight attendant that she usually places her small handbag in the pocket in the front seat pocket, but that there were no space due to the rubish from the previous flight that was not cleaned and it was occupying the seat pocket. She explained that she did not want to force her small handbag in between the rubish. The flight attendant then immediately removed the rubish and assisted to place the small bag in the seat pocket. Then awhile later, a very arrogant, Charne, rudely demanded that the bag be removed and placed in the "correct manner" in the overhead cabin due to "safety issues". Myself and the minister's wife then tried to explain to Charne that her colleague had already dealt with the issue and already solved it by removing the rubish and placing the handbag into the larger seat pocket provided, but Charne by then, had already made up her mind and demanded that her orders be obeyed and that she was in command. The minister's wife then gave her the small handbag and she stuffed it in the overhead compartment. Shortly thereafter I noticed that other passengers in front of us had placed their bags, which was larger than the minister's wife's bag, in their front pockets, but Charne didn't have any ploblem with that, even doing a few passes during her formal inspection. (See screenshot of video on Google reviews) It was as if Charne had an obsession to find a passenger to target to ease her personal stress.
