Five minutes late for a flight due to unforeseen circumstances

We had a flight booked with FlySafair confirmation number XXQZEQ and due to road works we where at check in at 10:09 am for a 10:35 flight, it has happened before with Kulula and by running to the boarding area we where in time to board the plane whilst people where still boarding the plane but this time with FlySafair they did not want to listen to stories and said sorry we had missed our flight where I feel we had more than enough time to get to the boarding queue with only hand luggage. We then went to Kulula where we paid R1700.00 for a flight to Cape Town after spending R1990.00 with FlySafair for nothing.
