DO NOT book flights via eDreams!!!!

What a bunch of ******!!! Booked a Safair flight via Cheapfligts.co.za and was directed to eDreams for payment. I do usually book direct with Safair but their site has been down for some time now. I actually did call Safair call center and asked if it is safe to use Cheapflights.co.za and they said it would be fine to book through them. I paid eDreams R1100 for a flight from East London to Durban (10.20am on the 22/4/21). When arriving to check into my flight i was told i dont have a confirmed flight as eDreams was not suppose to sell me that flight as Safair could not make bookings. I was told to get a refund from eDreams as was a couple of customers in line with me as well. I got hold of their call center which is somewhere in India and they said they cannot refund my ticket as my booking was confirmed. they just kept insisting this over and over again. Someone needs to be held accountable for this. Please Do NOT Book via eDreams as they are a bunch of ******!!!!
