Do not bet on getting a pre-paid seat at Safair for a person with a disability

I was taught an expensive lesson to NOT trust the SAFAIR systems.

I pre- booked (and paid) seats for our flight from Lanseria to Cape Town (flight FA 305) on 10 March 2022. The seats were changed by your system (or a person?) but without notice to us. Unfortunately I trusted the Safair system to the extent of not checking the boarding passes issued at Lanseria.

The reason I pre-booked was specifically for my wife, who has a disability, to sit in an aisle seat. The system changed her seat from 32D (aisle) to 15 A (window). We requested beforehand, and had (excellent) airport assistance from your staff.

The person who booked 15C (aisle) was kind enough to swop C with A and had an uncomfortable journey to Cape Town. I would appreciate an apology from Safair to him – we apologised.

I thought to let you know about our experience with SAFAIRs system, which let us down. We'll do our best to avoid using Safair in future. (PS: your call centre takes 12 - 24 hours to return a call and your "help" e-mail address totally ignores messages)
