Disgusted in Flysafair

To whom it may concern My name is Ewan. I booked a flight for the long weekend flying the 27th of April and returning the 1st of May. For 2 people. We paid R4000. On the Tuesday befpre that the 24th of April, i fell from the ladder and broke my ancle. I was hospitilized amd had surgery, received 7 *****es. I have evidence of all of this. On the friday morning early of the 27th i went to the docter to find out of i can fly and the doctor said no, i am a high risk fpr bloodclonts. I phoned Flysafair to find out what to do. A lady p.molorane said i must send the doctors letter and she will call us. I send the letter. Later that day i had a misscall. Think it was her but she only tried to call us once. After emails and no responses i called again. I said to the lady that i can not say for sure when we can fly again because we paid R4000 for a long weekend so we dont want to loose the money. Then i emailed then with date we can fly and no response once again. Today i called them again saying we want to book for the 25th of May, but i looked it up and the flights that weekend will be cheaper than R4000, infact it will be R2400. So i asked him if they can refund me the difference or give me credit for the next time we fly. The guy was helpfull but i do not agree with Flysafair policies. The guy said it does not work like that. So Flysafair wants to take almost 50% of the money. But when i asked if i want to book in august for the long weekend. The guy said that is it is more that R4000 then we have to pay in. This does not make sense. Why pay more money when it costs more but do not get refunded when tickets are less. Clients are always on the loosing end at Flysafair. I dont mind a admin fee or cancellation fee. But to loose 50% (R2000) is not acceptable. Safair is quick to say pay more money, but when they have to help clients they always stand out of the water. I will never reccomend anyone yo fly with safair again. I feel ******.
