Disappointing service from Safair

Very disappointed with Safair. My internal baggage handle mechanism was broken on the flight from Cape Town to Joburg last night and safair are denying any responsibility. Apparently their policy says that they do not repair handles or wheels but surely if they break the recessed internal mechanism they must take responsibility even in terms of their own shady policy?
