Disappointed
Hi.. I'm not really one to complain, ive learnt to try be a better customer than the service you receiving and you will always find a positive way to look at situations.. anyway, lets start with the fact that today was my time using flysafair to travel, and it didnt even happen. I've used many different flight companies before and have totally opposite experiences as I fly down nearly every friday. Earlier on the 12/01/2018, my flight was at 3:25pm, for which I arrived at 2:50pm, which yes is cutting it close I understand, but I was told at the queuing section that ive missed my flight :| and I'm not going to be let through to find out if its really true that 35mins before is impossible to still try get a call made to find out if I can still board. I then was told to go to ticket sales to find out if I can still make it which made no sense because I was right there at the check-in section, but in trying to be a better customer than the service I listened and went to ticket sales. I was then told that no I can book my flight for the 13th/01/2018 which made no sense because im standing there trying to get home to Durban from OR Tambo on the flight (ref:IFYMYO,FA270) I booked. So I turned away frustrated but understanding that they are only told to make money for the company which I understand but wondered if I was getting the best customer service for the situation. I walked back to the check-in realising that now there's no way because its 3:00pm and becoming a flysafair customer had failed. I walked amazed trying to figured out what to do and called my people who were going to pick me up to tell the what I had experienced, then decided I'll go back down to my car get what I left after rushing and then come back and to the airline I usually use to book a later flight, the time at which was 3:45pm. I get there expecting a late flight, and the lady at the counter books me on the next flight 4:15 and tells me all I need to do is wait she'll call ahead and alert them that one passenger is running down to board. Like I said in the beginning,I don't like to complain but I felt that I really need to make you aware that staff need to be trained on how to handle situations. Good customer service is about the understanding not making everything a headache, yes there's terms and conditions for impossible situations but today was ridiculous with your airline. I know this is a peble but maybe and hopefully it saves someone else that's more in need than I was. I know the words that come next are "unfortunately, our policy" bla,bla,bla.. but I hope my experience can never be repeated and that im just the unlucky one.
Thanks for the ear, forgive me for the compliant.
