Bad experience
On the 12th of August, my partner and I travelled from OR Tambo to Cape Town Int. Everything went well till we reached Cape Town Int. We forgot a sling bag on the plane after disembarking. We returned back to the 'arrivals' gate informing the security staff that we forgot our bag on the plane, where then referred us to the information desk. When getting to the information desk there was no one to assist us and the security guard there then sent us upstairs. No staff was present at the upstairs counter either and at this point we do not know what to do anymore. Fortunately a lady referred us to the boarding gates where a gentleman assisted us and escorted us to their help desk. The lady at the counter did her best to help us get our bag back which we appreciate. We were sent back to the arrivals area where the lost and found is. Upon receiving our bag and checking whether everything is still in the bag, we noticed that my partners bank card was ****** as well as money and our sunglasses. The lady at the lost and found had an attitude when we addressed it with and could only say "that's how I got the bag".
Another incident prior to this was at the end of July when traveling to OR Tambo from Cape Town. Our luggage is suppose to be safe and secure, but the way in which our bags just get chucked into the plane amazes me. The lock on my partners bag was broken and of course we informed the customer service staff and they provided a number and instructed to select a certain option which was not even available.
I am disgusted that something like this could even happen when we are suppose to trust the cabin crew.
