DO NOT FLY CEMAIR - THEY ONLY STEEL YOUR MONEY!!!!!

Cem Air is a person's worst nightmare. On the 11 November my sister, that is in a wheelchair, was booked on a flight from Jhb to P.E. Flight was suppose to depart Jhb 11H40. So she was there well before the time. This is were the nightmare starts - firstly her son booked in her baggage, where she was told in order to get special assistance she needs to pay R600. If she can't pay this she will need to walk. Most of the people know how the domestic departures terminal looks like at OR Thambo. Also on their website they say special assistance pricing will be calculated when the booking is made. We booked and paid and nothing mentioned. She had to use her pension money to pay this which is totally unacceptable and they also did not issue a receipt. -how does that work? Her son gets the boarding pass and the luggage is booked in and she sits in the lounge, ready to board the plane. I would also like to add that we had to make arrangements as we had to travel quite a distance to get to the airport. At the airport she phones us and said that the airplane is delayed, there is some mechanical issue. I go in and check, it says delayed. She was told that they got the part needed and they are going to fix the plane. So the waiting continues. All the passengers were then informed that the next flight departing they will accommodate them. When it got time to board they were told that the plane is full and they can't board. Once again the waiting continued. Then the passengers were informed that they are waiting for a plane from George then he will go to P.E and estimated time op departure is 19H00. Now here is the shocker. She is in a wheelchair and the entire day not one of the ground staff bothered to attend to her needs. In the 8 hours she was sitting in the wheelchair Cemair never offered her something to drink or eat or even assistance to go to the toilet as the waiting was caused due to negligence on their part. I am not sure what part of SHE CAN'T WALK, don't they understand. Her daughter then phoned the call-center and they promised that they will sort it out and get her something to drink etc. An hour later 17H00 I also and asked if someone can please assist her to the toilet and give her something to drink and eat. I was told by the call-center agent his manager will phone OR Tambo and immediately attend to it. ALL JUST A BUNCH OF LIES THEY FED US!!!!! When she landed at 21H10, she still had no assistance from Cemair. Cemair doesn't communicate with nobody, they leave the passengers unattended. They have no respect for the passengers but the passengers paid and their money is good enough. To put the cherry on top, when we eventually got home at 23H30, her suitcase and all her clothes inside was soaking wet. We realized that it rained in Jhb, so the baggage was left in the rain too. What a joke. I think Cenair must refund her the R600 for assistance and at least compensate her for sitting hours without anything. Thank God a good Samaritan lady saw the predicament and she took her to the toilet and she bought her a sandwich and a cup of tea. Utterly disgusting. I want the shareholders to go and sit and Tambo and go through this hell and tell me if you think that the treatment received is fair to anyone? I think this utterly inhumane and do not wish this service on even my worst enemy! Just as an after-thought: The were men returning to Jhb on that flight that returned their Avis vehicles at 9H00 and their wives had to go and pick them up at O R Tambo 1 o'clock in the morning. Cemair didn't worry about the safety of those people either. Ridiculous
