CemAir nightmare

I have never written a complaint in my life ..... I had a terrible experience with CemAir..... I was supposed to fly from Hoedspruit to Cape Town on a direct CemAir flight ..... departing 12:30 arriving 15:15 to attend a graduation ceremony in Stellenbosch on the 14th of December. I saved up to purchase this very expensive but convenient ticket. At the last minute I was informed that I now fly to Jhb and connect on a flight to Cape Town. The CT flight only departs at 16:55 which means the reason to fly is no longer valid. I requested (begged) for an earlier flight in order to make the graduation ceremony. Not possible according to the friendly lady at the call centre (I waited 28 minutes). Arriving in Jhb the flight was then delayed with 60 minutes. I ended up arriving in Cape Town after 20:00. After waiting and waiting my bag was not there. I tried my best to get help but everything closed and all they said was that they will open a case. I now had to arrange public transport as my daughter was at the graduation ceremony that I was supposed to attend. I had to buy clothes, toiletries and medication as I had nothing with me. I battled the following day to try to get my luggage. Eventually they found my luggage in Jhb and it was sent to Cape Town. I was then told that there is no service available to deliver my luggage to Stellenbosch. I had to travel to Cape Town airport to fetch my bags. I mailed the head office asking for some form of compensation because there is a big difference in the price between direct and connecting ..... if I new this I would have booked a connecting flight at a cheaper rate and still be on time for the graduation. This trip ended up being a nightmare and it was way more expensive than wht I budgeted for and worst of all is the purpose was completely missed ..... I could not attend the graduation function.
