Cemair Grounded - 56 working days for refund?!?!?

My husband booked a flight for my step-son to fly from Cape-Town to Hoedspruit on 24 December 2018 return 7 January 2018 (REF: AAPWWA). This flight was cancelled because Cemair was grounded. After many times of calling for months now, we've been told our monies will only be refunded after 56 working days? And the call centre agent told us that was the instruction given to her by management. This is ridiculous to wait 3 months for a refund for something that wasn't even our fault!
