Airline

I am the last person to turn to social media when most complaints can be sorted out by other means but my hand has been forced and I will not be silenced by misleading information. I was one of the passengers on flight 602 from Johannesburg to Margate on Sunday 17th July at 11.30am after flying in from the uk that morning. Cemair's CEO has stated that the aircrafts warning indicator had come on and that the plane had to turn around and return to J berg .. This is what actually happened on flight 602.. 1.The left Engine stopped working completely , I am not an aircraft engineer but when a propeller ceases to turn this would normally indicate that the engine has stopped. 2. We flew 30 mins back to J berg on 1 engine. 3. No information was given by the pilot or cabin crew on what was happening or what the procedure was expectedon approach to landing. 4. On approach to landing the captain screamed at us to brace and the crew screamed even louder for us to bend over and keep our heads down. 5. Emergency crew were awaiting our quite possible crash landing . 6. The screaming and crying from babies, children and adults will be something I will never forget. 7.We were kept on the plane for 45 mins and were forbidden to take any photos. 8. We were left at a departure gate until 4 when we were finally told there would be no flight for us that day as they couldn't find crew and the crew we had were traumatized and unable to fly. 9. Zero help, information or compassion was given to us during the day by Cemairs representatives not even a cup of coffee was offered after our very frightening experience. 10. No offer of help for accommodation or even help finding accommodation as its not their policy was given to us even though we live on the south coast and not in j.berg 11. Our luggage was only returned to us at 6pm leaving us stranded at the airport with no support whatsoever from Cemair. There are a few questions which I would like the answers to from Cemair.. Why was the original plane we were supposed to fly on swapped last minute for a flight to Plett ? Why were there technicians working on the replacement plane for 45 mins before our flight took off and another 30 mins for pre flight checks by the crew ? Was the plane serviced or was it being serviced while we were on board ? Why was there no follow up from cemair to any of the passengers to see how they were coping after being traumatized. All our names and emails were put on a clip board for them ? I am not alone in this saga, as a group we stand united to get the answers we deserve and to make other people aware of what they can or cannot expect from cemair if this situation arises again in the future. We also have video footage of the whole event. I have been told that I should leave this alone as we landed ok and it could have been alot worse ..Why sugar coat the actual truth. I fully understand that these situations happen but it's your actions after the event that make you stand out from the crowd and be a company that people trust and want to support..
