Waste of money

I would like to review the zodiac mx8 after 2 years and 3 months the engine gear box tracks top cover broke down, to repair it costs R1931 after being told we are buying a top class pool cleaner, we were told to throw it away and buy a new one, is it really that easy to purchase something for R3300 and just throw it away , and to top it off the customer care assistant Janet was rude and dismissive. The mx8 should come with a warning, be prepared to throw entire unit away !!!
