Very Dissatisfied with the MX8

<p>I spent top-dollar buying the MX8 at builders warehouse about a year ago. The cleaner has been a complete waste of money.</p> <p>Firstly it's little mechanisms get clogged with the smallest little leaves, leaving the device motionless on the pool floor.</p> <p>Secondly the rather elaborate internal gears seem to wear badly over time to the extent that it now stops for no reason whatsoever. It is still under warranty, so their technician came and claimed to have fixed the problem by simply removing a little yellow mouth-piece from the cleaner.</p> <p>The problem persists.</p> <p>Now I am told that "The technician advised that you need to vacuum the pool". If I wanted to vacuum my pool I wouldn't have bought a R2500 pool cleaner.</p> <p>Do yourself a favour and stay away from the MX8.</p>
