MX8 Elite - don't buy

We purchased an MX8 Elite machine in November 2020 - it is still under "warranty" ... this pool cleaner is the worst piece of machinery i have ever had the misfortune of buying !!!

The rubber tracks are absolute junk, having to be replaced on a regular basis (no more than six months lifespan) at a ridiculous price for two little pieces of rubber. I queried this with Zodiac, as the machine is still under warranty, but they blamed the water ph balance (!!!), and thus refused to replace the tracks. Now, the little (cheap) plastic ring that holds the hose onto the pool cleaner has broken ... firstly the "warranty" does not cover this particular part (why not when its a part of the machine !!!), and secondly, I cannot just purchase this little ring of plastic, I need to purchase the entire cover plate of the machine at a price in excess of R 700.00. Absolute junk.
