beware of flowpath laboratories. they dont send statements

i had blood tests done in July 2017. i assumed that my medical sorted out the account. I did not receive a statement, e-mail or a telephone call informing me that my medical aid short paid them. on the 20 of April i was contacted by a collection agency stating that monies were owing to flowpath. They are now charging me interest and legal fees. i believe a service provider should send out statements or inform their patients that monies are outstanding. i did contact the head or the accounting Mr dorasamy who stated its not their company policy to send out statements. i contacted lancet laboratories and they have a department that contacts clients and if there is a financial problem a payment plan is arranged. this is bad serrvice
