Terrible service, caused damage, never finished job
We contracted Flooring Guru in September this year to screed our floors in our lounge, passage and kitchen. We were told they could do the job over our existing tiles. We told them the tiles were hollow under. Needless to say they did the job over the tiles. After nearly 2 weeks we could walk on the floor only to discover huge cracks. We contacted them and after a bit we received the Good News as they put it, that they would redo the job. Once again we had to move out. Not once did they offer to help with accommodation or the moving of our furniture. They eventually came to redo. They have not finished the job. They did not help us move our furniture back or offer to pay for any cleaning. Never mind they inconvenienced us. They in the process put a wet pot plant on my son's laminate floor which has caused damage. But because we have paid them in full they will not repair - saying it was not them. Well I can assure you it was not us - as we moved out. Also in the process they have ruined a large section of our lounge wall. They obviously tried to clean it with some industrial cleaner and it has left marks which we now have to repaint. They have continually told us lies. They will not take ownership of what they have caused. Needless to say we have to contact some new company to fix our repairs and they will not foot the bill. DO NOT USE FLOORING GURU - looking on Hello Peter now we see that they possibly also trade under other names.

Flooring Guru always strives to ensure that our applications and onsite operations are according to industry standard and beyond. This includes re-doing any application a client might be unhappy with at our cost, within reason.
Please provide proof that the lifting of your laminate floors was caused by Flooring Guru in order for us to assess next steps.
Flooring Guru does not remove furniture or assist with accommodation during the time needed to apply our products. We do however acknowledge the inconvenience of the tiles lifting, causing cracks and having to request no traffic on the floors in order for re-application.
Due to the nature of our products, we ensure clients are aware before application that a last coat of paint should only be done once our application has been completed. This is due to cement splashes that might occur and the products used to clean up these splashes.
We are currently working on a pro-active communications structure in order to ensure that clients are contacted accordingly should any unforeseen challenges occur onsite.
We would like to take the opportunity to clarify that Flooring Guru is a new company, which was formed in June this year. We have recruited a new Managing Director, new sales consultants, and new account managers. We purchased the Cape Crete URL, www.capecrete.co.za when this company closed down, in order to leverage any organic Google traffic based on “colour cement flooring” searches online, and these are now directed to Flooring Guru’s site.
Flooring Guru is not associated with any other company in the industry and trades solely as Flooring Guru Pty Ltd.
