Breach of Contract/Bad Attitude/Awful Customer Service

We had 150sqm of tiling to be done in our home. The day of quoting, the owner, Johan Viljoen promised exceptional service and terms were agreed upfront. He worked fine the day my husband was home however on the second day, was in breach of contract whereby he started making demands for money already, (after me telling him the prior day that my husband will be away). When I advised I had no money and he should have asked my husband when he was home yesterday he started shouting at me threatening not to come to work the next day if I did not give him money and that he will just leave the job standing. I had tto go to the ATM and draw cash and pay him. He was again very rude when I asked him to sign that he received the money...he was not happy signing.

The day he started I advised him where the contractor toilet was that needed to be used. He however ignored this and used to make his way upstairs and use my daughter's toilet. He would lay on the grass at the front of my house whilst his guys were working. We live on an estate and this kind of behaviour is not acceptable by the estate.

He also helped himself by opening our cupboards and took glasses out and used our ice making fridge on many occasions-without any permission. I would see the glasses with ice left around the house-and he did'nt even bother to put them in the sink! Just left them where we was sitting-I had to clean up after him! After seeing this, the next day I asked him if I could get him ice water, he rep****-"No, I will have a coke." I did give him a can of coke, which he drank and left it where he sat (lay there for 2 days!) I had to tell one of his guys to remove it. He seemed to be confused about his role as a contractor and that he was at a clients home and showed a total lack of respect.

On the ffg day he just failed to greet both on arrival and departure and was out right rude. He then again demanded money before completing the job and when I husband referred him to the contract (but still however paid him for the work completed), the very next day he stormed into our home in the morning, ignored both my husband and I-picked up his tools from inside and stormed out-without completing the job. His written response was "I have google." That was the last we heard from him.

Johan Viljoen is highly unprofessional, absolutely arrogant and down right rude. We are shocked by the way he handled this situation. His website looked so professional and we were charged a premium rate as well for his tiling service (therefore expecting a premium service).
