Misleading Process and Unresolved Balance After Cancellation

I used Float with Revibe on 28/11/2025. Upon making the purchase, Float took the entire balance. I subsequently cancelled the order, but since then there has been endless back-and-forth between Float and Revibe.

To date, I am still fighting with Float to have the reserve released. My emails are answered by different representatives each time, and I receive inconsistent explanations and conflicting information.

The most frustrating part is that I called before making the purchase, and everything was clearly explained and seemed straightforward—until the moment I completed the transaction. After that, the experience completely changed.

This has been the poorest service I have ever received, and I would not recommend using them.

Hi Johannah,

We’re really sorry for the frustration this has caused — we understand how upsetting it is when a cancellation and refund don’t feel clear or aligned.

To clarify, refunds are always initiated and processed by the merchant you purchased from. Once the merchant confirms and notifies us of the refund, we immediately adjust the instalment plan and ensure everything on our side is updated. At this stage, we haven’t received formal confirmation of the refund from the merchant.

It’s also important to note that reserves are released automatically by your bank, not by Float. While banks may release these funds before a renewal, the timing is unfortunately outside of our control. If the current reserve still appears as “pending” or “uncleared” in your account, don’t worry. It will be automatically released by your bank, but can take up to a few days or more to reflect in your account.

We appreciate that email back-and-forth can be frustrating in a situation like this. To avoid any further confusion, we’ve requested to give you a call so we can walk through everything clearly and assist you directly.

Thank you for your patience — we’ll be in touch shortly to help get this resolved.

Regards,
The Float Team
JK

This is not accurate. Please see the message below from one of your representatives. I can attach the full email correspondences, which clearly demonstrates the inconsistency in the information provided.

If there was miscommunication you guys could have opt to call me as shopper.

The matter has now been resolved amicably between both parties, and I sincerely appreciate the support provided. To help avoid similar issues in the future, I would recommend that Float ensure clearer communication and proper alignment with their clients regarding such matters, while continuing to maintain a high standard of service. I can also confirm that I have received my refund. Thank you.
