WHAT HAPPENED TO LISTENING TO YOUR CUSTOMERS

My husband and I went to see Semone at Cradlestone to give us more information about Mauritius as we haven't been there before. We specifically asked her not to be on the windy side of the island, the 2 quotes she sent were indeed on the windy side of the island (but off course we didn't know this at the time). I asked her about the weather this time of the year, she advised it's the same throughtout the year which is warm. I ended up feel cold every day as we went in winter season and I only packed summer clothes (I followed Semone's advice).

The hotel we stayed in are for pensioners, we are still relatively young. No entertainment at night (apologies there were some people that sang one night but very slow songs), no beachfront to swim at with coast guards, no water sports at the hotel (the catamaran just drops you somewhere). The food was also not nice, it is mostly for vegetarians and people who love the same food every day. My husband and I love our red meat but we had to pay more if we wanted something different.

On our voucher (received after payment) it showed that we were going to fly SAA to Mauritius and SAA back. We got bumped onto Air Mauritius when we flew back. Food was not nice and only one English channel to watch a children's movie on.

We paid for a 5 night package and yes we got our 5 nights stay but we got to the hotel late on date of arrival and had to leave VERY early on our departure date. I feel we lost out on 2 days as you don't get told what time the flights are before you pay (it shows nowhere on the quotes).

I complained to Flight Centre, I am told by Emily that by paying for one of the quotes it means I am happy with what was sent. I agree to a certain extend however I trusted Semone to send us what WE asked for when we went to see her in the first place. When I expressed my unhappiness again to Emily I was told yesterday they can not work on DISCUSSIONS we had with Semone at the branch (conveniently now) and we should've changed our hotel whilst we were in Mauritius but it would've cost extra.

So everything boils down to money and not listening to what your customer wants. I still want a solution to my problem as we paid a lot of money and could've stayed a bit longer at a different hotel with better food options and entertainment in summer time.
