26 Jul 2022, 15:34Dear Thobile G,
Thank you for taking the time to raise your concerns with us. Charges are levied by the airline for changes. The change penalty and the difference in fare and taxes are calculated by our team and would need to be collected in order to change the booking with the airline. There are other factors which influence these calculations like the booking class initially reserved and this would be the reason between the difference in the price of a new ticket and doing a date change to the current ticket which you have.
We would appreciate the opportunity for our Customer Experience team to look into the matter for you. Please expect communication from the team.

27 Jul 2022, 14:00Dear Thobile G.
Our industry is heavily reliant on availability which changes on a constant basis. Availability is unfortunately beyond Flight Centre or the airline’s control. Airlines reserve the right to make amendments to their rates and schedules without any prior notice and with this in mind our consultants communicate a sense of urgency for any reservations that are being made to prevent customers from losing out on the rate quoted. Should a customer not be satisfied with the arrangements to be confirmed or fully confident that they are in the position to confirm the travel arrangements, due opportunity is afforded to advise such. Our online support team has been in communication with you to communicate all terms and conditions attached to the changes requested by you. Our consultants remain at your disposal throughout the booking process.
