Non disclosure, bad service, making assumptions
My wife scheduled a trip to Mauritius 2 months in advance before flying in Sept. for a couple and a child of 16.
We were turned away at the airport, because my son did not had an 'unabridged' birth certificate.
She made my wife - the client - a **** by stating that she did informed her to have one without explaining what it meant. Then she stated that everybody knows what an unabridged birth cert. is - I am not 'everyone'.
Regarding above, she said that we should have read our travel documents. Wonder what she gets paid for ?
After showing no remorse, she said - enjoy you're weekend while I was suppose to be on my way to Mauritius.
Then she send us to the bank to claim the R6000 for the cancelled flights just to find out that we did not had that specific travel insurance to claim it back. Thanks Patricia ! Home affairs also informed me that I can't travel on the last 6 months of my password. I had to apply for another one. Thanks Patricia for checking the validity of our docs. You can't just assume everybody understands the terminology and that their travel docs are up to date.
