Lack of good advice

My husband and I got married early in May. We decided we would rather book through a travel agent so that we would get the best advice on where to go and when would be the best time. We went to the flight centre expo to book our honeymoon. We were very clear about having an island holiday with turquoise waters and sunshine. Our consultant was very helpful and identified a few options. One of the options was Zanzibar. Our consultant said that she has never been to Zanzibar but phoned a connection of hers to find out more. We were told that it was Zanzibar's rainy season but that it would only rain for about an hour a day late afternoon or early morning. We booked our tickets on the day to ensure we received the show discount so that we could visit the 5 star resort we had been shown. We went on honeymoon during the first week of May and were so disappointed. It rained all day everyday ( we had a few hours of sun on the Saturday). In addition to that our room had three leaks - one of which was above our bed. We were eventually downgraded to another room which also had a huge leak above the toilet - not very comfortable. We DID NOT receive expert advice & wasted a huge amount of money
