Flight centre booking

Booked a flight for my son at flightcentre walmer park in Feb for May. Had to put on hold due to unforeseen circumstances. Now want to book for end July. Told to pay in 6000 over and above the 4500 paid for the tickets already. Asked what about September? Still need to pay in 4000 over and above the ticket cost. This is pure ****************

Dear Karen

Thank you for taking the time to give us feedback on your experience booking with our Walmer Park team.

The standard practice in travel is that when a flight ticket is put on hold, to rebook, we calculate any difference in fare in taxes that may come about as a result of changes in ticket pricing. Pricing is dependent on, among other things, availability and difference in seasons of travel.

Our Customer Experience team will however, contact you to assist with your concerns.

 Dear Karen

Thank you for your correspondence directed to Customer Experience and for allowing us the opportunity to look into the matter. We have reviewed all documentation pertaining to your booking and discussed your concerns with the relevant parties.

Our records indicate that the amount payable is for a difference in fares, taxes and booking class availability per the communication sent to you. The amounts quoted by our consultant are in line with the fare rules of the ticket you retain.

Customers are liable for any differences in fares and taxes, in line with the fare rules of the ticket you purchased.

The intention would never be to inconvenience our customers or to cause unnecessary frustration and we regret that this was not translated in the recent interaction with you.

We trust you will find the above in order and remain at your disposal. Kind Regards ~T.M
