Flight Cancellation Clause
Good Morning To whom it may concern
After all these years doing my bookings to Namibia/Walvisbay I had the worst experience ever. We all know by now the Global crisis we are facing with Covid-19. I made a return booking for my dad on the 13th of March 2020. I wanted to cancel the booking yesterday 16 of March 2020 and it was 48hours before flying due to the President declared the travelling restrictions. The total cost was R5, 700.00. My dad is 71years of age and he is scared to fly in this Covid-19 desease. The reason why we made the booking is due to my dad's brother suddenly passed away. The agent advised us that the ticket is non refundable and the only way is not to loose the money we need to changed the dates. We then had to pay another R900 in just to change the flight dates after still taking the 20% from the ticket. I feel it's so unfair after we all are aware of the state of the country. We are not a wealthy family.
Please assist regarding this.
