Blatant misrepresentation in ad - dishonest salespeople

I contacted Lauren van den Elshout at Benmore Gardens Flight Center regarding a deal to Durban advertised two Sundays in a row in The Sunday Times newspaper. I also phoned about this. No one seemed to know of this 'deal' and were very vague about the details. When I eventually asked for a quote, they quoted me about 4 times what they had advertised.

When further prompted they had loads of stories about availability and flights (I checked both the hotel and the airline - there were plenty rooms and flights available).

After hours of correspondence they finally admitted that the price they had advertised was for 4 people sharing, even though the ad says nothing of the sort. Their response to this was that on the website I should have gone to check on their disclaimers (which are vague at best). This was obviously a blatant misrepresentation and I am going to report them to the Consumer Protection Commissioner.

They went from denying the existence of the special to admitting that details were deliberately left out all in 1 day. It was a complete waste of my time and I would not encourage anyone to use Flight Center for their holiday bookings, it is fare cheaper and more efficient to do it online or through an airline.
