Big hype but no delivery

We visited the travel expo hosted by flight centre this weekend and there was a huge hype about discounted airfares on Emirates airlines to various cities including London. We were told that these prices would be valid till Wednesday 11 Feb 2015. However, when I went in to the Sandton branch this morning to get a quote, they gave me the exact same price as I got on the Emirates website and offered to give me a R50 discount in lieu of their 'price beat' policy. My dad went into the Trade Route branch and got the same feedback.<br> What the hek was all the hype about 'up to 50%' discounted flights for if your staff know nothing about it??<br> Seriously disappointed Flight Centre!
