Bad customer service and ******

I booked one way flight tickets to Geneva with flightcenter ( BOOKING REF PNR: LYVTON), and that cost me R31,794, we were due to travel from Johannesburg to Geneva on January 17, 2022. Emirates cancelled the flight as Dubai wasn't accepting flights from Johannesburg. I was left stranded having to travel with four minor kids without funds and obliged to return to my workstation, I had to book another set of flight tickets again out of my own pocket as they kept my Emirates money, I booked again through flight center with british airways (PNR : NW226T) that cost me R 27 808, I showed up at the airport, the checkin person delayed registering me, when it was time to show my PCR the phone died out of battery, they wouldn't even let me charge it on their desk just to show the PCR (which were not even required by Geneva then), the checkin desk told that its okay because there's another flight flying out the next day, so I was not assisted by the British airways checkin desk at OR Tambo and made me believe that flightcenter had to only rebook me to the next day's flight. I went home and contacted Flight center to book me on the next flight, they told me that it was a no show I would have to purchase yet another set of flight tickets for me and my children and that I would not be refunded my R27 808. I argued that it was not a no show asked to be refunded as I ended up having to buy yet another set of flight tickets with Turkish airways to flyout the next day so another R31 100 out of my own pocket. So Flightcenter doesn't respond to my pending refund with Emirates since January 17, 2022 (R31, 794), Stole money from me by claiming that the British airways flight was a no-show when it clearly wasn't a nowshow so they stole my R27 808). Today is March 10, 2022 and they are ignoring my emails for both R31, 794 and R27 808. They have a very bad communication and are *******.

I still continue to be disappointed by the level of service received from the flight center. Magically, after complaining on hellopeter, the money was reimbursed by the airline the next day but now the flight center continues to keep my money because they asked me to go an pay another +-R40 to my bank, which needs to send a letter confirming that my new card is linked to the banking details that I provided them with. First of all, they kept my money since January, till my credit card expired, I told them to transfer it to my bank account they refused. I furnished them with banking details and forms that they asked me to complete, I still get treated like a ******** with my own money on top of it I must pay to recuperate my money.

Dear Pelthia M

Your frustration has been noted and will be conveyed to the relevant stakeholders. A refund must always be paid back to the same account or card used to make the original payment. Should the account or card no longer be active we do require the bank confirmation letter to ensure that the funds are being paid back to the same card and account holder as per our financial minimum standards. This is also to protect our customers and ensure the correct payer is receiving the funds.
