Flick It Up Events' events - Tread carefully before buying tickets

I would like to strongly advise people against pre-buying tickets for any event hosted by Flick It Up Events (so-called early bird tickets). They hosted a "Food Truck & Music Festival" in Bloemfontein in October but it did not deliver on the "food truck" aspect of the event as advertised. They then had all kinds of stories of why they don't want to refund my ticket (email available upon request). It appears from the same email that they KNEW that the food truck portion of the event might fail but still continued to advertise it as such (quoted directly from Flick It Up email to me: "Wether 3 or 30 Food Trucks, no quantity of food trucks was ever advertised, as we have dealt with Their unreliability at our joburg food truck events"). Besides this being blatant false advertising, they also only announced on their event page on Facebook the non-arrival of most of the food truck section of the event TWO hours after the event had started - when people started complaining on the event page about the lack of food trucks at the event. My advice to people thinking about attending an event hosted by Flick It Up Events is to not pre-buy tickets and to keep an eye on the events page for attendees' responses/complaints before wasting your money and time.
