Unsafe Rental Vehicle and Refusal to Refund Deposit

I rented a vehicle from this company and was supp**** with a vehicle that was faulty and not roadworthy from the outset,which was not known to me at the time.

I requested to return the vehicle immediately and reported the defect. Despite the fault being entirely on their side, the company has refused to refund my deposit and has attempted to charge a penalty,I am currently still burdened by the vehicle as they have not made any effort to collect their faulty vehicle,

This conduct is contrary to the Consumer Protection Act (Sections 54, 55, 56, and 48).

If this is not resolved promptly, I will escalate the matter through the National Consumer Commission and my bank.
